Who we are
Café culture is a series of events aiming to generate debate and discussion on topical issues. The events, held in Newcastle upon Tyne, seek to provide a space for people to think, develop ideas and to have a lively and inclusive discussion.
The events are a collaboration
between Culture
North East, The Institute for Public Policy Research North,
Newcastle Philosophy Society and
PEALS.
What we do
An interesting speaker, sometimes but not always high profile, introduces the topic in an accessible and challenging way. We then open to the floor. Our aim is not for a rigid question and answer format, but to allow discussion and debate between all participants. We want people to participate and feel engaged and interested to encourage new ideas and thinking.
